Mungullah Community is located 7 Km from Carnarvon in the Gascoyne region of WA and is a self managing Aboriginal Corporation under the auspices of ORIC (Federal Office of the Registrar of Aboriginal Communities). Within the community there are traditional elders and land owners like for example the custodians of the land around Mt Augustus (the biggest rock in the world) and the Kennedy ranges a significant land mass in WA. The community is deeply cultural and has very strong language and cultural ties with the Gascoyne region covering huge tracts of land with the Gascoyne, Asburton, Lyons, Lyndon and Wooramel rivers running through it.

The community is working itís way towards being a much stronger regional influence in terms of preserving local indigenous culture, welfare, self determination, human rights and community development in the region.
